This stunning and sizeable Lytoceras villae fossil ammonite, measuring 11.5 inches, is a rare and scientifically important specimen from the Lower Bathonian stage of the Middle Jurassic. Discovered on 17 January 2025 by our expert fossil hunting team, Alister and Alison, in Burton Bradstock, Dorset, UK, this fossil was meticulously cleaned, prepped, and conserved by Alison to professional standards.

The ammonite photographed is the exact specimen you will receive. A 1cm scale cube is included for size reference. This fossil has been chosen for its exceptional preservation, impressive size, and elegant coiling structure characteristic of the genus.
