This is a genuine 5-inch CYLINDROTEUTHIS PUZOSIANA Fossil Belemnite from the Oxford Clay Formation, Oxfordian stage of the Jurassic period, discovered in Weymouth, United Kingdom. Belemnites were extinct marine cephalopods related to modern squid and cuttlefish. Unlike ammonites, they had an internal shell known as the guard, which fossilised over millions of years, providing an important insight into Jurassic marine life.

This well-preserved specimen displays its characteristic elongated, bullet-shaped guard, with visible structural details. Belemnites played a key role in prehistoric marine ecosystems and are highly sought after by fossil collectors and researchers alike.
