This ammonite dates to the Upper Albian stage of the Cretaceous period—approximately 105 to 100 million years ago—when North America’s Western Interior Seaway teemed with marine life.
Goodhallites goodhalli is a member of the family Brancoceratidae and superfamily Acanthoceratoidea. These ammonites are known for their relatively evolute shells with bold, coarse ribbing and subtle tuberculation. The fossil reflects high preservation detail with pronounced growth lines and well-defined ornamentation that make it ideal for display or study.
