An exquisite 6-inch specimen of Dorsetensia edwardiana, a beautifully preserved fossil ammonite from the Inferior Oolite Formation of the Jurassic Coast, expertly excavated at Burton Bradstock, Dorset, UK. This rare species showcases classic ammonite morphology and is a prized addition to any fossil collection.

Dorsetensia edwardiana is characterised by its involute shell with strong, sinuous ribbing and a moderately compressed profile. This fossil represents an active nektonic predator from the Middle Jurassic seas.
The fossil was discovered by our expert team members Alister and Alison on 30 April 2025, and has been cleaned, prepped, and treated by Alison with meticulous care to preserve its natural features.
