This outstanding 8″ specimen of Durotrigensia dorsetensis is a rare and scientifically significant fossil ammonite from the renowned Jurassic Coast. It was discovered on 17 January 2025 at Burton Bradstock, Dorset, UK by our trusted team members, Alister and Alison, and was expertly cleaned, prepped, and treated by Alison.
The fossil is from the Inferior Oolite Formation, a classic Middle Jurassic limestone known for its exceptional preservation of marine life. The exact specimen photographed is the one you will receive, and the scale cube shown is 1cm for reference.
