Aspidoceras is a genus of large ammonites within the family Aspidoceratidae. These ammonites are known for their thick shells and pronounced ribbing, often with tubercles (knob-like projections), giving them a distinctive appearance. As nektonic carnivores, they were active swimmers in the ancient seas that once covered Madagascar.
