Age: Devonian
Location: S’Mara, Morocco
Solitary shoe shaped rugose coral. Unusually for a coral, this species had an operculum (lid) that closed over the top of the polyp. The operculum is usually missing. A dead-ringer for the local Moroccan footwear “babouche”.
