This fossil was discovered in the Westbury Formation, Penarth Group, at Blue Anchor, Somerset, UK, on 29 September 2024 by our team member Alister and has been expertly cleaned, prepped, and treated by Alison.
This fossil bed provides a rare glimpse into a diverse ecosystem that existed over 200 million years ago. The fish and shark teeth, along with reptile bone fragments, represent some of the key predators and prey of the ancient Triassic seas.
