Goniopygus is a genus of regular echinoids (sea urchins) that lived during the Cretaceous period, typically recognised by their dome-shaped test and symmetric arrangement of tubercles. These echinoids were bottom-dwellers in shallow Cretaceous seas, contributing to the diverse marine life of their time.
