Description
Offered here is a stunning and authentic Lioceratoides grecoi fossil ammonite, collected from the Upper Pliensbachian stage of the Early Jurassic, discovered in France. This species is a member of the cephalopod group known as ammonites, an extinct subclass of shelled marine molluscs that once flourished in the world’s oceans.
Lioceratoides grecoi is noted for its finely ribbed, involute shell structure with compressed whorls and a rounded venter. The ribs are often sharp and regularly spaced, making this genus both scientifically important and highly attractive to collectors.
