- Oedania falcifera is a type of ammonite, a now-extinct marine mollusk that lived during the Jurassic period. This species is recognized for its unique morphological features, which include its falciform (sickle-shaped) shell with finely coiled patterns. Ammonites like Oedania were marine creatures, related to today’s squid and octopuses, that inhabited the warm seas of the Mesozoic era.
