The fossil has been expertly cleaned, prepped, and treated by Alison, showcasing the distinctive features of this extinct marine creature.
Pachylytoceras is a genus of ammonite known for its thick, evolute shell and strong ribbing. These ammonites thrived during the Middle Jurassic, and this specimen was collected from the Inferior Oolite Formation, which preserves a rich variety of marine life from that time.
