Parkinsonia is a genus of evolute ammonites, characterized by its strong ribbing, well-defined whorls, and distinctive suture patterns, making it a desirable fossil for collectors and researchers.

During the Middle Jurassic, ammonites like Parkinsonia convergens thrived in warm, shallow marine environments, where they were active swimmers, preying on small marine organisms.
