Pentacrinites is an extinct genus of crinoids, or “sea lilies,” that lived approximately 190 million years ago during the Jurassic period. These marine echinoderms, closely related to starfish and sea urchins, were characterized by their star-shaped crowns and long, segmented stems, which they used to anchor themselves to the seabed.
