Discovered by our team member Alison on 21 September 2024, this fossil has been meticulously cleaned, prepped, and treated to highlight its extraordinary features.

Pentacrinites are extinct marine creatures, often referred to as “sea lilies,” though they are more closely related to starfish and sea urchins. These echinoderms lived around 190 million years ago during the Jurassic period and were known for their long, segmented stems and star-shaped crowns. This specimen includes the rare addition of a Belemnite fossil, a member of the ancient squid-like cephalopods that thrived in the same Jurassic seas. The Belemnite adds even more historical depth to this fossil, showcasing two distinct marine species from this era.
