This fossil, from the Lower Lias of the Jurassic period, is approximately 190-200 million years old and features stunning calcite crystallization within the ammonite shell, making it a truly unique specimen.

The Promicroceras species is known for its beautifully ribbed, coiled shell, and this specimen stands out due to the calcite mineralization, which adds an extra layer of visual appeal. Discovered on 19 August 2024 by our team member Alister, and meticulously cleaned, prepped, and treated by Alison, this fossil has been preserved in excellent condition, ready to be displayed.
