This listing features a RARE 14″ Giant Lytoceras Fossil Ammonite from the Ait Ouarhitane Formation, located near Alnif, Morocco, and dating back to the Middle Jurassic period.
The genus Lytoceras belongs to the:

These ammonites are noted for their evolute, planispiral shell, with all whorls visible and a relatively wide umbilicus. Their ribbing tends to be fine, sinuous, and gently curved, giving the fossil a distinctly elegant appearance. Lytoceras is an iconic genus of nektonic carnivorous cephalopods, typically found in open marine carbonate environments.
