This listing features a RARE and impressive 15-inch Lytoceras fossil ammonite, originating from the Ait Ouarhitane Formation, near Alnif, Morocco — a region world-renowned for its rich fossil-bearing strata.

Lytoceras is a genus of extinct ammonoid cephalopods that thrived in the Middle Jurassic, part of the subclass Ammonoidea and order Lytoceratida. These organisms were fast-swimming marine predators with complexly suture-lined, planispiral shells. This specimen displays the classic evolute shell morphology characteristic of the genus, with gently uncoiling whorls and finely ribbed ornamentation.
