This is a rare and well-preserved 6.5-inch Cylindroteuthis puzosiana belemnite fossil from the Oxford Clay Formation, Oxfordian stage of the Jurassic period, discovered in Peterborough, United Kingdom. Belemnites were an extinct group of marine cephalopods closely related to modern squid and cuttlefish. Unlike ammonites, their internal shell structure, known as the guard, fossilised over millions of years, providing valuable insights into Jurassic marine ecosystems.
