Hildaites murleyi is a member of the Hildoceratidae family, known for its evolute shell, fine ribbing, and distinctive coiling pattern. This species thrived in the ancient marine environments of the Jurassic period, playing a significant role in the marine ecosystem as a free-swimming cephalopod.
