This is an authentic and rare fossil of the trilobite Parabolina heres, a member of the Olenidae family, found in the Upper Cambrian-aged Cwmhesgyn Mudstone Formation. This formation is exposed near Bryn-llan-fawr, close to Trawsfynydd in North Wales, an area long known for important Cambrian fossil discoveries.
