Tropidoceras is a genus of extinct ammonite belonging to the family Hildoceratidae within the superfamily Hildoceratoidea. It is characterised by strongly involute and compressed whorls, distinct ribbing, and often a pronounced keel. These features are finely preserved in this specimen.
