This is a genuine Zigzagiceras pseudoprocerum ammonite fossil from the Middle Jurassic, dating to the Bathonian Stage and the important Zigzag Zone. It was collected from Parthenay in Deux-Sèvres, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France, a locality known for fossils preserved in Jurassic marine sediments.
